<p class=MsoPlainText>Fiction writer Sandra Rodriguez Barron and poet Suzanne
Frischkorn will read from their work Wednesday, February 25th at 8 p.m. at SCSU,
in Engleman D253, the Common Room.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>Barron was born in Puerto Rico and grew up in El
Salvador. Her debut novel, THE HEIRESS OF WATER (HarperCollins), won the 2007
International Latino Book Award, was chosen as a Borders "Original
Voices" selection, and has been translated into Spanish and German. She
is a sometime adjunt at Southern.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>Frischkorn's first full-length collection is LIT
WINDOWPANE. She is also the author of several chapbooks. Her work appears in
numerous literary journals and anthologies, including ECOTONE, INDIANA REVIEW,
and CONVERSATION PIECES: POEMS THAT TALK TO OTHER POEMS.<o:p></o:p></p>
