and classic American humorist, will read a sampler of his works at 7:00 p.m. on
Thursday, February 18, in the Branford Common Room. The event is part of the
Schlesinger Visiting Writer series, which in recent years has brought to Yale
such distinguished writers as John McPhee, Dave Eggers, Michael Pollan, and Gay
Talese. <br>

Trillin's books include <i>Remembering Denny</i> (about a Yale classmate), <i>About
Alice</i> (about his wife), and several accounts of his adventures as a
"happy eater" that have prompted <i>Business Week<span
class=moz-txt-tag> </span></i>to write, <span style='color:#993300'>"Trillin
is to food writing what Chaplin was to film acting." </span><o:p></o:p></p>
