color:black'>Alice-Anne Harwood is a poet, singer/songwriter, and playwright
who aims to capture fragments of life that might otherwise be overlooked.&nbsp; Trained
in performance and dramaturgy, Alice-Anne fronts the New Haven-based folk-rock
group Document 183.&nbsp; Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in numerous
journals and collections, including&nbsp; Boston Literary Magazine, Bent Pin
Quarterly, Caduceus, The Underwood Review, Pen Works, and various collections
by Shijin, an all female poetry troupe of which she is a member.&nbsp; Alice-Anne is
a member of the Marathon poetry group active throughout the state of
Connecticut; she is co-host of the Poetry Institute at New Haven&#8217;s historic
Institute Library, and former co-host of the longest running weekly poetry
series in Connecticut, the Wednesday Night Poetry Series. By day she is the
Director of CT Folk, the organization that produces the Connecticut Folk
Festival and Green Expo; and she serves as the director of development at
Leeway, Connecticut&#8217;s only skilled nursing facility dedicated to the care of
individuals living with HIV/AIDS.</span><o:p></o:p></p>

the third Thursday of each month, The Poetry Institute Poetry Series celebrates
