<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="font-size:13.0pt">Terri Klein is a performance poet, actress, and playwright. Her current project,
<i>You Can’t Be Serious,</i> will be performed at Oddfellows Playhouse in Middletown April 23-26, 2015. This program of Terri’s short, funny plays also features five of her comic songs. Terri’s first forays into poetry were song parodies, which she still enjoys
 composing, although she has recently begun setting her poetry to original tunes. Terri has toured with her solo poetry-and-song act,
<i>Six Unforgettable Women,</i> as well as<i> </i>with the Not Just Any Tom, Vic, and Terri trio, and the Artemis Rising poets. Terri’s poems have been published in numerous journals and included in four editions of East Haddam Stage Company’s “Plays and Poetry.”
 She served on the board of Riverwood Poetry Series from 2009-2014 and edited CTPoetNews from 2008-2014. She has written and directed one-act plays featuring poetry for the Hill-Stead Museum and Vintage Players. Two of her 10-minute plays were featured as part
 of Gallery on the Green’s “Word-Art” 2011 and 2013 (Canton) Terri’s first full-length play,
<i>What Next</i>, was produced in Middletown in May, 2014. Terri will be moving to Albuquerque, New Mexico, in June, and is very grateful to Poetry Institute for giving her the opportunity to feature one more time in Connecticut before she heads west.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="font-size:13.0pt">&nbsp;</span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p><span style="font-size:13.0pt">Stephanie McKenzie is the author of&nbsp;<em>Saviours in This Little Space for Now</em>&nbsp;which brings together two greats artists —Emily Carr (1871-1945) and Vincent van Gogh (1853 – 1890). Their spiritual yearnings and frustrations
 with societies that did not understand them seem to find a home together.&nbsp;<em>Saviours in This Little Space for Now</em>&nbsp;suggests that true salvation can be found in the greatest paintings and creations of our time.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p><span style="font-size:13.0pt">Stephanie has also published two other collections of poetry,<em> Cutting My Mother’s Hair</em>&nbsp;(2006) and&nbsp;<em>Grace Must Wander</em>&nbsp;(2009), and a monograph,&nbsp;<em>Before the Country: Native Renaissance: Canadian Mythology</em>
 (2007). She holds a Ph.D. in English literature from the University of Toronto. McKenzie was born and raised in British Columbia but lives on the opposite Canadian coast now in Corner Brook, NL. She teaches in the English Programme at Grenfell Campus, Memorial
