</span></b><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Palatino",serif">Connecticut’s 8th State Poet Laureate, is currently Professor of English at Capital Community College in Hartford. She is the author of three full-length poetry collections:
<i>These Women You Gave Me</i>, <i>Icarus in Love</i>, and <i>Psalm of the Sunflower</i>. A critically acclaimed author, Brim is “…..a fierce poet at the peak of her powers…” (Patricia Smith). We will have the opportunity to hear and discuss her poetry and
 learn about her role as poet laureate of Connecticut. </span><o:p></o:p></p>
