and the monograph,<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span><i>Regarding Muslims: from Slavery to Post-Apartheid</i><span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>(2014). She also co-edited the essay collection,<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span><i>Surfacing:
on Being Black and Feminist in South Africa</i><span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>(2021) and the special issue of<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span><i>Meridians</i><span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>on "African feminisms: Cartographies
for the 21st Century" (2018). Baderoon teaches Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies, African Studies, and Comparative Literature at Penn State, where she co-directs the<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span><a href="https://afi.la.psu.edu/" target="_blank"><span style="color:#467886">African
Feminist Initiative</span></a>. For 2024-2025, she is a fellow of the Harvard Radcliffe Institute, where she is completing a verse memoir, “Autobiography of Sand: Relief Map of A Drifting Mind.”<o:p></o:p></span></p>
