addition to LC, and the data is often inconsistent. If you look at the entries for “Avack, Giuseppe d’”, you will see they are not all the same. At any rate, most of the entries in NUC are pre-AACR2, and can be quite different from headings constructed
according to newer standards.</span></p>

or page numbers, just the heading, and, very often, the usage (if different from the heading) but feel free to counter with examples that do. This was a very quick search. I was taught back in the day (by a very insistent boss :-) likely based on his NACO
training ca. 1988) that an NUC heading was LC equivalent.</span></p>
