<p class="MsoNormal">We have almost completed our first week of the production pilot with Lyrasis. I hope that this has been a smooth and productive week in ArchivesSpace for everyone. We wanted to provide a few updates on how the overall effort is progressing.

</span></span></span><![endif]>The YAMS committee will review the procedures for creating new user accounts in ArchivesSpace on Monday. Look for a defined process from us soon. In the meantime, if you do have a need to add someone new to ASpace, contact the
YAMS committee and we will assist you.<o:p></o:p></p>

</span></span></span><![endif]>YAMS would also like to coordinate a load/stress test of the TEST ASpace instance hosted by Lyrasis. We will be coordinating this next week and would appreciate your participation. You may have joined in a load test over the summer
on various local instances of ASpace, and this will be similar. We want to confirm and document that the hosted server is configured to handle our database, typical workflows, and peak number of users. We will use the TEST instance as it is a mirror server
to PROD.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="text-indent:-.25in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1"><![if !supportLists]><span style="font-family:Symbol"><span style="mso-list:Ignore">·<span style="font:7.0pt "Times New Roman"">
</span></span></span><![endif]>Lyrasis was successful at accessing our former production instance of ASpace. They were able to recover a copy of the database and are in the process of examining it and the logs to determine if data can be recovered. This process
will occur over the weekend, and we hope to have an answer on Monday. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="text-indent:-.25in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1"><![if !supportLists]><span style="font-family:Symbol"><span style="mso-list:Ignore">·<span style="font:7.0pt "Times New Roman"">
</span></span></span><![endif]>From that point, the process to recover data will be managed locally by the mighty MCs (Maureen and Mark). This is a methodical, multi-pronged process and it will require coordination with users. There will be direct communication
concerning this, as ideas and methods are considered. We also appreciate that while careful follow through is required, some recoverable data may “age out” of the system as time passes and work has continued.<o:p></o:p></p>

</span></span></span><![endif]>At the beginning of this, I pulled together a contingency plan to maintain service to the other systems and programs dependent on ASpace, such as Aeon. As of today, all points of system integration are directed to the new production
instance hosted at Lyrasis. <o:p></o:p></p>
