<p class="MsoNormal">I wanted to make sure I closed out the issue. Our PROD server was down overnight until Monday morning when staff reported it. The nginx web server didn’t come back online after a reboot and Lyrasis didn’t catch it until the morning. I apologize
for any inconvenience. Even if this is a very rare occurrence with Lyrasis, we are contractually guaranteed a production service up 24 hours a day. The incident report is closed, since PROD was restored within 10 minutes of reporting it, but I have a meeting
scheduled with Lyrasis to discuss additional steps to mitigate this going forward.

<p class="xmsonormal">YUL’s three instances of ArchivesSpace are hosted by Lyrasis. The servers are located in a secure, third-party data center. We have just received notification that there will be some required
<b>maintenance performed</b> by the data center staff the <b>morning of Monday January 8, 2018</b>. This will impact
<b>all three instances, PROD, TEST and DEV</b>. Lyrasis and Yale do not have control over the determined schedule, although this is the first time in two years of hosting that an outage like this has been planned.
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="xmsonormal"> <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="xmsonormal">We have been scheduled for the window of <b>8:30am-11am on Monday January 8</b>. This
<b>downtime is</b> anticipated at no more than <b>30 minutes</b>, but we are unable to know more precisely when that 30 minute cycle will commence, until it begins.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="xmsonormal"> <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="xmsonormal">YAMS has decided it is best to have <b>staff refrain from adding/editing in ArchivesSpace</b> during this maintenance window. In addition,
<b>any automated routines to sync data</b> between ArchivesSpace and other applications should be
<b>temporarily suspended</b> during this maintenance window. The <b>ArchivesSpace staff addon</b> used in Aeon will also not be able to communicate with ArchivesSpace, but it will be able to communicate with Voyager.
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="xmsonormal"> <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="xmsonormal">We will receive notification <b>when the maintenance officially begins, and we will send out an email</b> at that time, as well as when the systems are back online. Please work with your supervisors and teammates to plan any adjustments
