<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="2" face="Times New Roman"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">I am happy to announce that LITA accepted the ALCTS proposal for membership and composition of the ALCTS-LITA Metadata Standards
Committee; thank you to LITA President Zoe Stewart-Marshall for her help in this endeavor. ALCTS and LITA are now working together on the logistics of launching the joint committee. LITA is identifying its members. RUSA plans to send the name of its voting
liaison member soon. Agenda items for the new group are surfacing. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

group of individuals! We could easily fill two entire committees with great people from this pool of candidates. But as you remember from our proposal, ALCTS gets just four slots, including a co-chair. I hope those who were not appointed this round will
consider volunteering for this committee or others in future. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
