Subject: [BIBFRAME] Mapping from RDA core to BIBFRAME
To: BIBFRAME@listserv.loc.gov

I have posted a mapping of the PCC RDA BIBCO Standard Record to BIBFRAME at:

http://faculty.washington.edu/kiegel/ld/rda-core-to-bibframe.pdf

It is "a" mapping of RDA core to BIBFRAME and not "the" mapping. I offer it as an experiment and a test of BIBFRAME's ability to handle the core elements of RDA.

Note that the domains and ranges of BIBFRAME properties have been observed, which makes the mapping more complex that it would seem to be at first glance. The notes document problems that arose and where the BIBFRAME model may need work.

Many thanks to Theo Gerontakos for his assistance in creating this mapping.
