<p class="x_MsoNormal">Thank you to everyone who has reported issues with saving records in the catalog and for your patience while this was being investigated.</p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal"> </p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal">We believe that some server maintenance this morning interrupted an index regeneration – a process that ensures OPAC data is kept up-to-date and index-based catalog searching retrieves all records. This maintenance was performed to address
heavy server load as we continue to prepare for migration.</p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal"> </p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal">We are working to bring the catalog online as soon as possible, and are consulting with the vendor to see if cancelling this job will have adverse effects on the OPAC. If it is not possible to cancel then the system may not be available
to save new records until the afternoon.</p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal"> </p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal">I regret the both the inconvenience this is causing and the interruptions to work and we are doing our best to balance tuning the system for migration with meeting current operational needs.</p>
