Dear Librarian,

Librarians and historians have
been using 19th Century Masterfile since 1999 to discover
more than 8 million citations to Books, Periodicals, Newspapers and
Government Publications from "The Great Century."

What started as the first, complete electronic edition of Poole's
Index to Periodical Literature has continued to grow over the last 7
years, both in depth of content, genre and in functionality.

Links to Full Text Sources

2006 brings new, OpenURL links to full text
editions of many of the works cited through 19th Century
Masterfile.

-- JSTOR
-- American Periodical Series (from ProQuest)
-- Additional sources for newspapers, books and government documents.

Even with the push for digitization of documents into full text, the
reality is that only a precious few of the original works which are
citied through 19th Century Masterfile have ever been
converted to e-form.

However, to the extent that these online texts are available, 19th
Century Masterfile is keeping pace, linking any corresponding
citations to full text resources.

Unique Content

19th Century Masterfile contains over 60 indexes,
including:
