*JOOK Songs Spring Show: Weather
*Fri 3/30 & Sat 3/31. 7:30pm. Davenport Auditorium
Jook Songs is an Asian American Spoken Word group who writes and
performs autobiographical pieces. "Weather" is not a theater production
or a play, but a night of truth. As a writing group, we push each other
to write honestly and without pretense, to dig deeper into what doesn't
get said in the day-to-day. Come to our show for a break from the small
talk: Listen to our stories and think about your own.

RSVP tohttp://www.jooksongs.com/rsvp. <http://www.jooksongs.com/rsvp>

Wed 3/28. 10am - 2pm.
Old Campus, Cross Campus, Commons

Spread the Word to End the Word is a national campaign advocating the
elimination of the derogatory use of the r-word ("retard(ed)") from
everyday speech and promoting the acceptance and inclusion of people
with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Our goals are to promote awareness of the stigmatization and
offensiveness of the r-word and other derogatory words, encourage people
to think before they speak and use language that respects the dignity of
all people, and increase awareness for the larger movement for social
justice for people with disabilities.

This Wednesday come sign pledges to not use the r-word, and get
stickers, buy t-shirts and tank tops promoting the message!
