Sachem

Good afternoon  everyone.

I wanted to let everyone know that a male Sachem has been nectaring on the 
buddelia next to my house this afternoon from about 5PM  on. 

This sighting was not unexpected,  because there has been a significant 
incursion of Sachems on the north shore of Long Island.. For example,  a 
total of 13 Sachems were found at various locations  on   the Muttontown, 
Long Island 4th of July Count held on Saturday July 17th.
