Birds & Butterflies

Watched a Catbird trying to make a meal of a butterfly today. I was close 
enough to hear the birds beak snapping as it grabbed the butterfly only to 
the birds surprise, the butterfly would fly away. After 5 or 6 attempts the 
butterfly was able to escape by flying past me. I watched the very tattered 
butterfly disappear into some thick brush while the bird went looking for 
another meal.  Butterflies seen this morning: Red Admiral, Spicebush, 
Monarch, Clouded Sulphur, Striped H/S, Pearl Crescent,  Azure, Great 
Spangled, Wood Nymph, Ringlet, Little Wood, Dun, Tawny Edge, and a very 
tattered Brown.  Rich Chyinski
