Fresh Meadows Sanctuary

A total of 30 species of butterflies were present at Fresh Meadows Sanctuary 
in Cheshire. The complete species list is as follows:

Cabbage White (12)
Clouded Sulphur (2)
Orange Sulphur (4)
American Copper (1)
Banded Hairstreak (8)
Hickory Hairstreak (1)
Eastern Tailed Blue (2)
Great Spangled Fritillary (35)
Pearl Crescent (3)
Eastern Comma (2)
American Lady (6)
Red Admiral (2)
Viceroy (1)
Little Wood Satyr (4)
Common Wood Nymph (16)
Monarch (1)
Silver-spotted Skipper (16)
Hoary Edge (2)
Southern Cloudywing (1)
Northern Cloudywing (1)
Least Skipper (5)
European Skipper (5)
Peck's Skipper (1) (very worn)
Crossline Skipper (1)
Northern Broken Dash (1)
Little Glassywing (18)
Delaware Skipper (5)
Dun Skipper (6)

In addition, there were a total of 10 species of butterflies at Durham 
Meadows.  Highlights included 16 Baltimore Checkerspots and a Black Dash.
