New turn in monarch butterfly deaths

March 13 —  There’s no question that hundreds of
               thousands, perhaps millions, of monarch
               butterflies have died in their Mexican habitat,
               but the cause is still a controversy. A Mexican
               environmental group last week said it feared
               pesticides had been sprayed by loggers, while
               Mexico’s environmental agency on Monday
               attributed the massive die-off to a winter freeze.
