New turn in monarch butterfly deaths

March 13 Theres no question that hundreds of
thousands, perhaps millions, of monarch
butterflies have died in their Mexican habitat,
but the cause is still a controversy. A Mexican
environmental group last week said it feared
pesticides had been sprayed by loggers, while
Mexicos environmental agency on Monday
attributed the massive die-off to a winter freeze.
