CT Shoreline Butterfly Count

Hi All -

    The weather looks good for tomorrow's Madison - Old Lyme Summer Butterfly Count.   I would love to have three or four different groups in the field.  Even if you can only get out for a few hours, I can give you a location ot two to cover.

    The count circle is very similar to the Old Lyme Christmas Bird Count, but it shifts a little to the west to include all of Hammonasset Beach SP.  

    I will be meeting people at 8 am at the commuter parking lot at the Horse Hill Road exit off I-95 in Westbrook, but if you e-mail me or call me by 10pm tonight, I can give you spots to cover on your own.  If we have enough people at 8:00, we can then split up from there.

    A few places that really need extensive coverage (not just run-and-gun guerilla butterflying) are Hammo and Salt Meadow NWR in Westbrook.
