butterfly count

Hi All -

Diane is doing a great job with field trip publicity, but now I get to
throw a monkey wrench into the works. I'm still in North Carolina, and have
to drive home on Wednesday, return the Swarovski stuff to Rhode Island,
etc., etc., then get ready to travel to Austria on Saturday, PLUS get stuff
done around the house.

With unsettled weather in the offing for Thursday, and to keep what
little sanity I have left, I'm going to postpone the East Haddam Summer
Butterfly Count until Saturday, July 13th (rain date Sunday, 7/14).

Hopefully, more people can find a few hours to get out butterflying
(I'll have individual places that can be checked, as well as half-day or
full-day assignments), and we get good weather. It will be interesting to
see how the species mix changes, since I normally run the count two weeks
earlier.

Please let me know if you can make any or all of the day in the field.
I will send out the results from the Madison - Old Lyme Count in a day or
two (Frit City!).

Thanks,

Clay
