CBA Monarch tagging recoveries

Last week I also received a certificate from Monarch Watch that one of my 
butterflies had been found. I was so excited as I pictured it having flown 
all the way to Mexico! WRONG! My butterfly traveled exactly 5 miles to the 
next town-Bridgeport! The certificate does tell you who found it so I called 
the gal and she had also received a certificate telling her who the butterfly 
had been tagged by and the # of miles it had traveled. We laughed about it. 
She said she had found it dead in her garden which was near the coast and had 
sent the whole butterfly to them. Now I am looking all over for my record 
sheets to see where I had tagged it. I believe I had done it with kids in my 
school. Interestingly enough, Monarch Watch must send out 2 certificates for 
each butterfly????
    Just finished reading the book by Sue Halpern called "Four Wings and a 
Prayer." An easy read, I enjoyed it and all the references to people in the 
field.
