While not enlivened by the sudden appearance of law enforcement 
officers, the past couple of days have seen a moderate increase in lep 
activity. Two Monarchs were at the front yard buddleia yesterday 
(8/26).  Today's haul included a local first-of-year Red Admiral and a 
Great Spangled Fritillary along with the usual Tiger Swallowtail and 
Peck's Skippers.  The kitchen ceiling attracted a Chickweed Geometer 
moth.
