I passed along Banjie's message to fellow Butterfliers in RI- and sent our replies from some members as to suggestions. I did not indicate it was my problem but one from Ct as indicated and requested assistance. Good people responded and the information passed along that the originator may want to share with ct leps as we all try to work together for the common good.Arthur
PS. Walter- Sorry I could not join you in your field trip yesterday as I tried.

This is the note from Arthur Plitt that seems to be copied Word for Word from another ctLeps post yesterday.

I have been raising and releasing Monarchs for years for the sheer joy of watching the process. Occasionally in the past I would have a chrysalis that was deformed in some way but not often. This year almost half of the 20 monarchs I have raised have failed to pupate successfully. I have collected milkweed from 'clean' meadows as far as I can tell.
Is anyone else noticing problems? I would be interested to know.
