Hackettstown Hatchery Natural Resource Education Center Welcomes
Learners

The Hackettstown Hatchery is home to the New Jersey Department of
Environmental Protection's Division of Fish & Wildlife's Warmwater
Fisheries Program. Though the original 1912 hatchery building has been
closed to the public since 1983, this structure has been revitalized as
a natural resource education center. It is open to host school groups to
free educational programs by registration only. To learn more about this
or other Division programs, visit our website at
www.njfishandwildlife.com.

The following program is being offered on Friday, January 16 at 6:30

Butterflies & Moths of New Jersey

Enter the fascinating world of the butterflies and moths of New Jersey.
Tony McBride, an amateur lepidopterist, presents a view into the world
of these winged insects. Learn about a selection of New Jersey's fauna
as well as their life cycles and habits, and the need for habitat
conservation. The presentation will showcase some common New Jersey
butterfly and moth species, and some of the threatened and endangered
species. Part of Tony's collection of butterflies and moths will be on
display as well. Information on butterfly gardening will be provided.

The program will be offered rain or shine. It will ONLY be canceled due
to 4" or more of snow. Registration is required. For information and
directions, call (908) 637-4125 or send an email to
