March 15 - One Compton's Tortoiseshell (Nymphalis vau-album) today in
Cockaponset Forest, Killingworth. It was zipping along a brook on the blue
trail behind Chatfield Hollow.
Also - at the top of the Lookout trail in the same general area, Bill Kobak
and I scared up what appeared to be some kind of little white pieridae. I
could be wrong about that, but it was a lepidoptera and flying more like a
butterfly than geometer.
