Falcate Orangetip

Saturday, 4/16- A single male Falcate Orangetip was present in the overlook  
parking lot at the south end of West Rock Ridge St. Park, New Haven.   It was 
nectaring on the Arabis that is just starting to  bloom.   
 
Also present in the overlook parking lot were 3 Mourning Cloaks, as  
expected,  and a Painted Lady (Vanessa cardui), that was  definitely not expected.  
The Painted Lady was patrolling the parking  lot and nectaring on the couple of 
dandelions that are already in bloom.
 
A single Spring Azure (form undetermined) was flying over the road leading  
to the overlook parking lot.
