Chester sightings

Yesterday, at Cedar Lake:  
one Silver Spotted Skipper, nectaring on petunias
one Tiger Swallowtail
one Mourning Cloak, puddling in the parking lot

In my backyard:
one Eastern Tailed Blue

A question:  Every day, I've been looking in on the Spicebush Swallowtail caterpillar living in our Spicebush.  It's always in the same place, but clearly it's getting bigger and greener.  Does it leave during the night to eat and then return to its curled leaf during the day time?
