seen today: Compton Tortoiseshell, 4 brand spanking new ones
Mourning Cloak 3 also fresh
Baltimore Checkerspot 6-8 new & beautiful
Red Spotted Purple 1
Northern Broken Dash 3
Little Glassywing 2
Starting to see more skippers, they probably were always there just didn't
bother to try to find them among the multitude of Euros. Euros are now on the
decline
Hairstreaks: I am seeing more Hairstreaks (mainly Banded) then I can recall
ever seeing in the past. Walking the trail around the perimeter of Walden
Meadow, if I had bother to count, there probably were 50. If one were to walk
thru the field, which has plenty of Milkweed in bloom, and not stay on the
trail I would think hundred(s?) could be found. Mainly Banded with a few
Stripped, a White M or two, and maybe a Edwards or Southern in there somewhere also.
