Mourning cloak

Watching for a mourning cloak...
The cabbage butterflies have been out
in the desert for a couple of weeks.  
They seems a bit larger than our
CT version and fly very fast.  Diane
suggests I net them, but how do you
know you aren't interrupting something
important.
