Monarchs

Yesterday (Wednesday), I had a "shopping with Monarchs experience.  I went to the Westbrook Factory Outlets (I-95 exit 65).  I saw several Monarchs near the highway, then several more in the parking lot, and still more passing between the stores.  All were heading southwest.  As I continued in my travels, I saw numerous others heading southwest on I-95 and Route 1, as well as several crossing Route 9 in Old Saybrook and Essex.  All told, I probably saw around 100 yesterday.

On the other hand, I stopped by Hammo late morning today and only managed to find 2.  One clinging to Aster in the butterfly garden, and one clinging to some green plant at the edge of the marsh.  On the way out, I just saw a few Cabbage Whites.
