Hammo

Went to Hammonasset yesterday (Sunday) with a group of Brownies.  We were not overly optimistic, as it was sprinkling when we arrived.  However, when we reached the butterfly garden, we did find Monarchs.  We were able to capture and tag 5, but then the wind picked up and they all relocated to the marsh area (we could see them in the goldenrod!)

We probably saw about 20 Monarchs, 2 American Ladies, 1 Black Swallowtail, and a few Cabbage Whites.
