Robin,
 
No need to keep your fingers crossed. Just go into open or semi-open
(moist) oak woodland any time over the next two weeks or so, on a warm
late morning to early afternoon, best near or along a sunlit road or
trail where there are some fallen logs, and you'll see them...Keep your
eyes on the ground (or on adjacent sunlit rocks)...

We saw our first clouded sulphur here at Madison Montessori yesterday.
Still haven't seen any mourning cloaks, but my fingers are crossed.
