Thought there might be some interest in the following symposium on turtles.
Its organization was led by the folks at Athol Bird and Nature Club, who
have done an excellent job of organizing and conducting previous nature
symposiums. Look for worthy topics, a lively pace, and knowledgeable
speakers. Good food and handouts too...

The organizers are looking for additional artists and vendors, as well as
scientific posters that relate to turtles. And they are encouraging nature
centers, land trusts, and government agencies to provide materials, or have
a table at the symposium. Contact information is on the web site.

Massachusetts Turtle Symposium, February 23 & 24 at UMass Amherst. Experts
will share current information on turtle conservation & management issues.
Of special interest to landowners and managers, teachers, and naturalists.
Professional credits available. Further information and registration on-line
