Westport sightings

Stayed over in Westport after the Trumbull field trip--all sightings were in my mother's yard in Greens Farms, except where noted.

Sunday July 8:
-my FOY hairstreaks:  4 Banded
-1 Monarch
-12 Cabbage Whites
-3 Red Admirals
-1 Eastern Tailed Blue
-2 Summer Azures

Monday July 9:
-my FOY Hickory Hairstreaks!  About 25, seen at 7:30 AM in a patch of sunlight under the hickory trees & hanging out on the privet hedge
-1 Monarch
-1 Great Spangled Fritillary
-2 Red Admirals
-numerous Cabbage Whites
-later in the day, more Banded Hairstreaks
-also, by Carvel Ice Cream, 1 Tiger Swallowtail

Note:  I did photograph both hairstreaks, if anyone wants to confirm...
