I received my Connecticut Butterfly Atlas in the mail today from the D
E P store (not bad, I ordered it yesterday at 10 AM). It certainly was
worth the long lead time, and the effort that everyone put into it.
There is a great amount of information included, even before you get to
the butterflies themselves.
I have one question regarding the set-up of the book. The setup for the
classifications of the Butterfly families is done according to Layberry
et al. IS there any real preference as to which system is used? The
other books that I have are set up differently with the Swallowtails
first, etc, and the check lists are all set that way too. However, as
this book wasn't originally desinged to be a field guide, I am sure it
does not really make a difference which classification system was used.
All in all, an excellect piece of work.
