Last year I received some Pipevine Swallowtail Caterpillars from someone who
had found them on their Dutchman's Pipevine plant.
A couple of the caterpillars went thru the Chrysalis stage and emerged last
fall. Three remained in their Chrysalis and over wintered in protected custody
until late April when I brought them into a warmer environment.
This morning I found one Pipevine Swallowtail Butterfly had emerged. The two
remaining Chrysalis do not look viable and most likely will not be
successful.
