Hill-Stead Museum, Farmington

On Saturday morning, 8/2, I walked the museum grounds.  Despite the  mostly 
cloudy skies, I was able to find the following butterflies:
 
Spicebush Swallowtail (4)
Summer Azure (3)
Great Spangled Fritillary (1)
Pearl Crescent (11)
Appalachian Brown (3)
Common Ringlet (1)
Monarch (5)
Least Skipper (2)
Peck's Skipper (2)
Peck's Skipper (2)
Tawny-edged Skipper (2)
Northern Broken Dash (1)
Mulberry Wing (8)
Black Dash (1) (very worn female)
 
Lenny Brown
Wallingford
