West Rock Ridge St. Park

On Saturday, 4/24, I walked the top of the ridge from the parkway south to  
the overlook and found a total of 10 species of butterflies.  The  list for 
the day is as follows:
 
Black Swallowtail (1)
Eastern Tiger Swallowtail (3)
Cabbage White (1)
Falcate Orangetip (5) (4 males; 1 female)
Brown Elfin (1)
Eastern Tailed-Blue (1)
Spring Azure (1)
Eastern Comma (1)
Mourning Cloak (2)
Juvenal's Duskywing (2)
 
Most butterflies were found in the vicinity of the picnic area and  
overlook.
