During the Hawkwatching today, September 26th, there were several butterflies flying. By far were the Monarchs, probably saw 50 - 75 flying by, in 2'sies and 3'sies and singles. We had one very fresh looking Variagated Fritillary, many, many Common Buckeyes, clouded sulphurs etc. Just before we all packed up, we saw a nice black and blue butterfly go by. We all agreed that is was a PIPEVINE SWALLOWTAIL.
