I have yet to see a Giant Swallowtail but now have 8 larva feeding on my front
porch. My friend Joyce in Fairfield called me yesterday all excited to see many
larva feeding on her rue. She quickly "googled' the info and found that sure
enough they had visited her plants while she was away. The larva look like an
early Spicebush Swallowtail caterpillar but are larger, shiny and very feisty.I
think I have 8,if anyone wants one ot two I will return home Wed afternoon after
a few days sitting my grandson in Milford. And you can stop by.I am excited to
see them pupate and emerge! I also have seen many Painted ladies in my yard,
oodles of Monarchs and Spicebush and Swallowtails. If you feed them, they come!My
front porch has been a nursery all summer and I give most of my chrysalids
away.Lots of delighted customers! To think that Magic Wings sells them for $5.00
a pop! Ruthie in Trumbull 203 268 0824
