Eastern tiger swallowtail, spicebush swallowtail, cabbage white, peck's skipper, zabulon skipper, eastern tailed-blue.

These were in Norwalk, Westport, and Fairfield.

8/10. Stratford yard - fresh GIANT SWALLOWTAIL in garden on Buddleia. Also 4+ E. Tiger Swallowtails, Spicebush Swallowtail, 2 Red-spotted Purples, 2 Silver-spotted Skippers, many smaller Skippers, 2 RT Hummingbirds.

On Saturday, 8/10, 10 participants joined me on the CBA field trip to  
Stratford Point, Stratford where we found a total of 20 species of  butterflies.

The list for the day is as follows:

Black Swallowtail (20)
Eastern Tiger Swallowtail (2)
Spicebush Swallowtail (3)
Cabbage White (6)
Clouded Sulphur (5)
Orange Sulphur (50)
White-M Hairstreak (1) (My first of the year; a very fresh, photogenic  
individual)
Eastern Tailed-Blue (9)
Summer Azure (1)
Pearl Crescent (3)
Painted Lady (1) (My first of the year)
Common Buckeye (3)
Monarch (9) (A high number of individuals for 2013)
Common Sootywing (2)
Least Skipper (12)
Peck's Skipper (4)
Tawny-edged Skipper (9)
Crossline Skipper (1) (very worn)
Sachem (2)
Zabulon Skipper (2)
