Lep highlights from the last few days:
8/11 - yard first late-season hairstreak sweep: White M, Gray, and Red-banded. Also 1-2 Least Skippers, which are rare for for my yard. I figured there would be a White M around considering all the reports in CT and Mass (11 at once at one location in MA).

And I later found another White M at the Naugatuck Industrial Park: http://www.flickr.com/photos/connecticutpete/9504593817/
8/12 - Naugatuck yard - 2 Horace's Duskywings, one female seen by my dad and this one I found late in the day: http://www.flickr.com/photos/connecticutpete/9507507990/in/photostream/
And though not a butterfly, my dad found this newly emerged dogday cicada in my yard today: http://www.flickr.com/photos/connecticutpete/9504769875/in/photostream/
