6/30 - Highlights from the Naugatuck Industrial Park along Raytkwich Road included HICKORY HAIRSTREAK and ACADIAN HAIRSTREAK.

The Hickory was nectaring on milkweed along the road between the field and the pipeline cut. They are notoriously difficult to ID from Banded so if anyone wants to give their opinion, here are some pics (and click left): http://www.flickr.com/photos/connecticutpete/9179768024/in/photostream/
Note that the hairstreak appears darker in a couple photos because it was in the shade at some points.

The Acadian was on prairie dogbane in the pipeline cut along with many other hairstreaks. Those that weren't too far away were all Banded.
