[Ctleps-l] Sachem (NY)

Another note of interest from New York. Yesterday I came across a male Sachem in northern Queens (Long Island). I don’t see spring brood individuals often. I believe these have emerged locally rather than migrated in. After this winter, seems like a commendable feat (or does the snow cover actually help survival?).
