Hey all,

Seems like yesterday I was heading out to this area for Cobwebs and now the
season is ending for butterflies and odonates.

Went out looking for the Leonard's Skipper but I must be a bit late given I
only saw one. Disappointing given that Cobweb was very common here in the
spring.

Clouded Sulphur - 1
Redbanded Hairstreak - 2
American Copper - 3
ETB - 1
Pearl Crescent - 6
Monarch - 2
Viceroy - 1
Great Spangled Fritillary - 1 worn female
Painted Lady - 1
Least Skipper - 4
Leonard's Skipper - 1 female

Greenstriped Darner - 4+
Shadow Darner - 6+
12-spotted Skimmer - 1
Slaty Skimmer - 2
Amberwing
Meadowhawk sp. - dozens

A new caged enclosure has appeared in the main field area. There is no
specific plant caged off so maybe they are sectioning off an area so
herbivores cannot disturb that section?

Not much more on the collecting agenda for the rest of the season besides
maybe some attempts at Catocala and fall noctuids.
