[Ctleps-l] Niantic Yard Monarchs

This afternoon there were 8 Monarchs in my yard at one time slowly soaring 
and nectaring on Tithonia and Buddleia.  It was so cool and humid I could 
pluck them without a net, much to 3 yr old Gabriella's delight.Taught her how 
to safely hold one for tagging and she was not timid at all and the joy on 
her face as she released it was priceless.

Then she got my net and tried scooping one. Then they all flew off to the 
maple trees ...it was about 6 pm.  She comes in and tells her Mom..we have to 
try again tommorrow in the morning, all the butterflies are up sleeping in 
the trees.

So Gary, looks like I have a new assistant for you at next year's migration 
festival.
