[Ctleps-l] Giant Swallowtail

Had a Giant Swallowtail nectaring in our Branford yard today.  I was most likely a male as it did not approach nearby Rue plants nor a wild lime tree nor Prickly Ash to lay eggs. It spent about 20 minutes feeding mainly on Verbena and then flew away.  This is latest we have had one in our yard.  Usually late August is more common.
