Recent sightings from various locations. Some dedicated surveys, others
were stops on the way home from work. Red Admirals were present at pretty
much every location.

7/2 - Osbornedale SP, Derby - fresh Pipevine Swallowtail (first record
here?), Hickory Hairstreak 2, Common Buckeye 2. The milkweed bloom is
impressive, especially in the field adjacent to the Kellogg's Center
parking lot.

7/2 - Jim Dugan and I visited the Naugatuck Industrial Park at around
10:00. The Edwards' Hairstreak showed the reduced spotting on the median
band that is common in the colony here: https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__goo.gl_DxmCHd&d=DwIBaQ&c=cjytLXgP8ixuoHflwc-poQ&r=DxSBJXRvd7MQp-AlXAtLeydve7SiywLWLcinsn9EdPE&m=ZaFDyTDb6IXJfmSaSPZqPgQCjY0YN7P2ami3AjLeU30&s=YzSbtT9G2AzPo4N_6DO_NFUxZeN6t5WgzSB6sn8gdnY&e=

I went back during the afternoon and found one each of Hickory and Banded
Hairstreaks, bringing a total of 7 hairstreak species for the day there,
which is a personal high for me at any one location. Striped and Oak were
also possible but I didn't run into any.

6/30 - Durham Meadows - still a little early for diversity here, the swamp
milkweed stands are just beginning to bloom. Highlights were 1
Silver-bordered Fritillary (fresh), 1 Common Buckeye, 3 Appalachian Brown,
35 Least Skipper

6/29 - Northwest Park, Windsor - near full clouds but managed to find a
Hoary Edge, Northern Cloudywing, and Common Buckeye

6/27 - Osbornedale SP, Derby - HACKBERRY EMPEROR (same location where I had
a Tawny a few years ago, field adjacent to the parking lot), Hickory
Hairstreak, 2 Common Buckeye

As Patrick Comins reported, Bronze Coppers are flying in Goshen. I had
about 8 there on 6/21, all fresh
