[Ctleps-l] Belated reports - Southington Brown Elfins, Washington WW Whites

It's been a cold and rainy spring, but here are the results of getting out
in the field during a couple of moments of warmth recently:

5/6 - Southington Mountain/Compounce Ridge, Southington - the goal was to
explore the cliffs above Lake Compounce for Falcate Orangetip, of which
there are only historical records from non-trap ridges in CT (as far as I
know). However, I was not able to find the correct trail, but I did end up
at a bald to the south which held at least two Brown Elfins:

Also around were two Eastern Tiger Swallowtails, a worn Spring Azure, and
two Juvenal's Duskywings.

4/29 - Hidden Valley Preserve, Washington - about 6 West Virginia Whites
were flying, including one along the river by the bridge near the parking
lot. Toothwort was the whites' nectar source:
