I photographed one at Jamaica Bay on July 20, 2008. So it can happen (every
10 years or so).

Hi, passing along Mike Freeman's 7/4 sighting of a Gulf Fritillary in the
"English (south) section of the Conservatory Garden" in Central Park, NYC. 

 

Quite an event for the Park, and in early July.
